Most of you probably don’t understand what I mean. I have tried to read all the good books about copywriting secrets. I even researched some myself. But nothing compares to the very basic secrets from the Bible.

One of the first ever secrets was how the Garden of Eden was introduced in the Book of Genesis. It may be bad or negative example. But the story truly captures the essence of copywriting secrets of enhancing benefits.

Read the part where the serpent talks to Eve to convince her to eat the forbidden fruit. The serpent doesn’t describe the apple. He tells Eve to eat it because of the benefits. That “Your eyes will be opened, you will be like God…” so to speak.

So can the Bible show us one of these amazing copywriting secrets? It’s simple, many disciples have chosen to follow Jesus despite possible suffering and even death. But they choose to follow because they believe that through their suffering they will be able to harness eternal life. In this instance, Jesus admits to the many hardships following him might entail. But though the path traveled by may be difficult, eternal life is at the end of this path.

  1. Motivating Procrastinators through Limited Offers.

The Bible is a constant call to procrastinators. This is exemplified by sections that invite a call to action. This is definitely one of the basic copywriting secrets or principles we have missed in the Bible.

Humans are typical procrastinators which is why different actions were made to invite a ‘call to action’ that encourages procrastinators to move. Take a look at Hebrews 3:7 for example: “Today, if you hear my voice, do not harden your heart.” It was in Noah’s Ark that we read about the death of procrastinators who drowned while Noah and his family found safety in the ark. The Bible also tells of a story of a farmer who built bigger barns to store his grains without learning that his life will be taken away that same night.

Jesus never tried to say go forth and think about the circumstances and consequences. Jesus took a different approach and sent a message for all readers to act now!

Believe it or not, copywriting secrets like this exist in the Bible. In the book of Hebrew, he was able to tell stories about Jesus that have not only touched our hearts but made God a more human image allowing him to understand the people in a better way.
