color printing servicesColor Printing Services have played an important role in marketing. It might not be obvious, but that is the truth of the matter. Colors have the power to express emotions, attitudes and moods. For this reason, these printing services have played a key role in getting businesses to convey their message in their publicity materials. This heavy responsibility that falls to this type of color printing has created a need for people to be aware of the type of systems it utilizes. There are two common color printing systems that are used in color printing services. These are Pantone and CMYK.

Pantone for Your Color Printing Services

Pantone Matching System (PMS), or otherwise called Spot color or Pantone color, is a system that creates solid colors by mixing a set of inks. The system uses colors that are mixed before printing, therefore creating a more consistent and accurate color for the printing job. The Pantone Matching System is also capable of being screened. By doing this, one can use a few dots of color on each inch as to make the color come out lighter. This type of color printing service is best used hen the customer wants a more accurate capture of the original image. However, there are downsides to using this color printing service. One, it is more expensive than CMYK and the colors that it uses is limited to three. Despite these though, Pantone Matching System is sure to provide you with the exact color of the image you want printed out.

CMYK for Your Color Printing Services

CMYK is a 4 color printing process. It utilizes the colors cyan, magenta, yellow and black. This type of color printing service uses these four colors to create dots called line screen. Each of these dots contains rainbows of colors. This enables the system to create a wider variety of colors. Therefore, if you’re looking for color printing services that lets you produce a full range of color, then CMYK is the system for you. Aside from this, CMYK is cheaper than Pantone. Although just like Pantone, it has its disadvantages too. You cannot expect CMYK to produce metallic or very bright colors. It can’t guarantee a production of exact colors either. It is also limited in the number of colors it utilizes. In order for you to expand the range of colors, you can opt to use Pantone colors alternatively or six to seven color printing.

However, you have to keep in mind that there are a lot of other factors that you have to consider when it comes to printing services. There are other issues such as the thickness of the paper, the machine’s printing abilities, specification etc. If all works well together, printing services can create a publicity material that is worth carrying your brand. The right color printing services can do wonders for your business.
